What does this tool check for?

This test checks whether your web page..

loads internal and external JavaScript files and whether these files are minified or not
contains duplicate JavaScript files
contains inlined JavaScript and how many
loads JS files which could be inlined
loads JavaScript files in the footer

How can this help me improve page speed?

By finding bottlenecks and things you could improve to speed up the delivery of JavaScript. For instance, you could use the JavaScript Compressor to minify your JS files and you could defer load or inline your JavaScript.
